Monday = Bloody nightmare at 'rainbows'.... James was out of control!!!! OMGscreaming was not the word..... he was not going to comply ATALL..... he did not want to sit at the table and read the book, nor did he want to sinfg hello..... I want to scream..' HE DOES NOT LIKE SOCiaL THINGS' but I know i must refrain... we are soooo sooo lucky in having the opp to take James there as he is not even 2 yet... In fact we are super super lucky full stop with everything he needs right now..... Dr Wiggins saw what I saw and decided to act right away rather than ' wait and see' tactic.. hence getting him inoto these groups asap.........
anyway... as the mnutes ticked by... my stressed levels raised and by the end I was in floods of tears.......
I'd give anything to be able to say to James something he clearly understood & more importantly responded too........
We came home and I began the task of soting out the simple day to day symbols... something that we will use along side signing..... picture for breakfast , picture for walking the dog, picture for school, soo many of them.. but It's all meant to work as a great timeline. Half the problem is what we do tell him means nothing to him. Its like in one ear out the other... so we'll show the symbols throughout the day... how long before they are missing and I find them in the fish tank or toilet????? lol
Spoke to the lovely Makaton ' lady .... £125 for me alone to learn signing and a bargin of just £100 if Oliver comes too. a saving of £25. Bloody hell!!!!!! .. It'll be worth it though.......
after all that screaming at rainbows you'd have thought he's have an early night.. but NO.... bloody midnight.... again.......
Tuesday comes... I'm dreadig Gymbabies after Rainbows yesterday..... OMG!! HE LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! took harry to the first session after frantically looking for two pairs of socks for them.....walk in to be told ' please remove their socks'.. I said ' bloody hell it took me half hr to find some......!! LOL... next week I will not be wasting another 30 mins I can assure you.... Harry thought his session was great amd made a real change to go up to other little ones that dont run away at the first site!!!!
James comes along and like I said.. LOVED it.. there was no pressure at all about joining the dreaded circle for song time, we'd discussed it all before had and made the deal that he could continue to play.. which he did..... loving every second...... I knew he was so happy from the few times he stopped to do what he was doing to do his spin round in circles thing... eyes the to left and spin!
some one said once, stop him form spinning.... you cant... he needs to do it.. he needs to get it our his system.. his brian is telling him to spin......
few spins later and he was off again happy as larry....... times up... we come home and he screams coz he doesnt want to come in the house... LOL the one place he is calm and he didnt want to come in!!!
A lovely friend Helen had found some wooden bricks and some more great toys for him, so Oliver popped round to colect them tonight... as I came upstairs Oliver and James are currently sitting in the dark whilst James presses Winnie the Pooh over and over again to get the enjoyment of the flashy lights...... and i cant tell you how perfect his brick towers have been!!!
Calm day.... Calm night me hopes........ until Harry wakes anyway........
